വരൾമണ്ണിൽ മഴത്തണുവിരൽപോലെ എന്നുടലിൽ നീ നിറയുന്നു… നിൻ വിരൽ പച്ചിലയായ്, തുടുമൊട്ടായ്, കിളിച്ചിറകായ്, ഒരുന്മത്തനൃത്തമായ് എന്നെപ്പൊതിഞ്ഞു. ഉള്ളിൽപ്പിടയുന്നു കാണാക്കടലുകൾ, കടലിന്നുള്ളിൽ, നീന്തുന്നു സുവർണ്ണമത്സ്യങ്ങളായ് എൻ കാമനകൾ. പാതി പെണ്ണായി പാതി മീനായും, മത്സ്യകന്യകയായ് ഞാനുയിർക്കുന്നു, മെയ്യിലാകെ നിറയുന്നാദിചോദനകൾ, അലിവുകൾ… മുലകളിൽ മുത്തുമണിയായി- ച്ചമയുന്നു നീർത്തുള്ളികൾ… ഉടൽവടിവുകളിൽ, നഗ്നസ്വർണ്ണപ്രഭകളിൽ ജലനാഗമായ് നീ ഇഴഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു… പാതി മൃഗമായി പാതി പെണ്ണായും പാതിയുടലായി പാതിയുള്ളായും പാതി ശിവനായി പാതിയുമയായും പാതിയിരുളായി പാതി വെയിലായും പാതിയലിവായി പാതി ശിലയായും ഞാൻ… നിലാവുറയുന്ന കാലുകൾ, സുഗന്ധനിശ്വാസങ്ങൾ തിരയുന്നു നിന്നെ… ഇല്ല നീ പക്ഷേ… നിൻമണം നിൻസ്പർശം മിഴിത്തിളക്കം എല്ലാം മറയുന്നു മായയായി… നിന്റെ കണ്ണു് മുനകൂർത്തൊരാദിമ ശിലായുധം, നിന്റെ ചുണ്ടുകൾ, വിരൽ നിലാത്തുമ്പുകൾ, പാദങ്ങൾ എന്നെയൊരഹല്യയായ് മാറ്റി… എങ്കിലും പിൻതിരിയുന്നു നീ മായയായി… പാതി പ്രണയമായ്, പാതിയുടൽ ദാഹമായ് ഞാൻ മാറി നിന്റെ ശാപത്താൽ… എന്നുടലാഴത്തിൽനിന്നൊരു പച്ചക്കിളി പറന്നെത്തിയോ നിൻ വിരിനെഞ്ചിൽ, എങ്കിലും പിന്തിരിയുന്നു നീ കണ്ണിൽച്ചിറകടിക്കുന്നു ക്രൗര്യങ്ങൾ, വന്നതെന്തിനു നീ? അപരിചിത? സ്ത്രീയേ നമുക്കിടയിലെന്തു്? ഉടൽവലയുമായ് തേവിടിശ്ശിയായ് തേടുന്നതെന്തു്? ഞാൻ പുരുഷൻ സനാതനൻ, ഓംകാരരൂപൻ പ്രണയത്തിനും ഉടലിനുമതീതൻ നിർമ്മമൻ… സ്ത്രീയേ തിരിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ട ഘോഷമായ് മേളമായ് മുടി മുണ്ഡനംചെയ്ത് കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു് ഉടൽ നഗ്നമായ് നഗരപ്രദക്ഷിണമായ് നിന്റെ വരഘോഷയാത്ര.
വി. എം. ഗിരിജ

സമകാലീന മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ ശ്രദ്ധേയയായ കവിയാണു് വി എം ഗിരിജ. നാലു് കവിതാസമാഹാരങ്ങൾ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു്. 1961-ൽ ഷൊർണൂരിനടുത്തുള്ള പരുത്തിപ്രയിൽ ജനിച്ചു. വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായിരുന്ന കാലം തൊട്ടുതന്നെ കവിതകൾ എഴുതിയിരുന്നു. പട്ടാമ്പി സംസ്കൃത കോളേജിൽനിന്നു് എം എ മലയാളം ഒന്നാം റാങ്കോടെ പാസായി. 1983 മുതൽ ആകാശവാണിയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ കൊച്ചി എഫ് എം നിലയത്തിൽ പ്രോഗ്രാം അനൗൺസർ. പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവർത്തകനായ സി ആർ നീലകണ്ഠൻ ഗിരിജയുടെ ഭർത്താവാണു്.
